Yo Gabba Gabba! Music is Awesome! CD Release Today!!!
My daughter is a MAJOR fan of Yo Gabba Gabba! so when I was asked to review their new CD, I had to say yes. And we are thrilled. The very aptly named CD: Music is Awesome! truly lives up to it’s name. I never heard a kids’ CD with such amazing beats. My husband, being a DJ in his non-dad days, was in love. My daughter listened to the whole CD and never stopped dancing. What’s better? My husband and I were dancing along...

Mommy Wars: Staying at Home
The Mommy Wars are in full force and I’ve decided to dodge the draft. Here is where I stand. I choose to stay at home with my daughter. I have sacrificed, I have borrowed, I have cried. For me, there is no other option. I could not take my child to daycare.
I could not miss so many moments in my daughter’s life. I could not stand not to be there when she cries, when she laughs, and when she plays. I could not miss her first steps,...
Kiwi Pudding!
I’m from North Carolina, the land of BBQ and Banana Pudding. People are quite passionate about Banana Pudding, the worst offense being Banana Pudding made from banana flavored pudding. True Banana Pudding is made with vanilla pudding and fresh bananas. There is no room for compromise here, in fact my friends and I had a lengthy discussion about this matter on our way home from the Outer Banks recently.
All the talk about pudding and the...

Precious Girls Club Review and Giveaway!
I was asked to review the new Precious Girls Club. It is a series of books as well as an online world that is based on the values presented by the Precious Moments dolls. The books are geared for elementary school aged girls who have a Christian upbringing.
The online world seems pretty neat, you get “access codes” by buying products. You can safely chat with other users by using predetermined sentences and phrases, so everything is...
Keen Footwear for Toddlers: Review!
Keen Footwear kindly sent us a pair of their Newport H2 Sandals for Lucy to try. Lucy was so excited to get them and put them on as soon as they came. We happened to be outside, she put them on, and she was gone! Running up the driveway with no problem. There was no “adjustment period” with the Keens. No “she’s got to get use to them” and no falling down. Lucy has a little trouble with her balance and the Keens...
