Wilton Party Products Review and Giveaway

As most of you probably already know, I am a baking fan.  I love to bake, the cleaning I could do without, but the baking I can’t.  I love creating beautiful and delicious treats for my friends and family.  The joy a cupcake can bring to a person’s face always amazes and delights me.  Wilton makes it easy to create special sweets that will surely bring you some joy to your sweet tooth, so when Wilton sent me there newest products to try out I was thrilled and have being baking up a storm.

The newest Wilton Party Products line is fabulous.  For Birthdays or Celebrations, you can find a design that fits the lucky recipient perfectly.  I love the car and truck themed decorations for a little boy (or maybe a big boy’s) birthday.  I frosted the cupcakes with Buttercream and sprinkled them with coordinating Wilton sugars.  The wrappers give a great finish to the cupcakes and I think any car and truck lover would be thrilled to have these treats!  Check out the different designs they offer:

I made Lucy a cake last week because she has been working so hard on talking.  Over the past few weeks she has really expanded her vocabulary and has gained much more confidence in her talking skills.  I decided a celebration was in order, so Lucy helped me make a “Yay Lucy” Cake.  I think it is perfect as does Lucy.  Wilton decorations made this cake a snap.  I frosted the cake smooth with Buttercream and then used Wilton Decorating Icings and Gels.  The Wilton sprinkles and decorations add whimsy and the Wilton photo topper makes it one of a kind and perfectly perfect for a celebration.

You can’t talk cake and not talk pans.  Your cake pans are important.  Throw away those one inch deep frisbees you inherited from your college roommate.  If you want pretty cakes, you need good pans.  The Wilton Ultragold 8 in. round pans are a great choice.  They are premium anodized aluminum pans which means they won’t warp and they will last.  Oh, and they have HANDLES.  You know how many times I have put my thumb into the edge of the cake when I take them out of the oven?  No more.  Look how even and deliciously golden brown the crust is, yum.

Want to Win all of the great products I used to create these yummy treats, and more?  You can.  Wilton has offered one of our very lucky Parent Trend readers an awesome prize pack full of their latest Party Products!

To an experienced decorator, it probably looked awful, but it was a masterpiece for me. When I first got married, I bought a Wilton sports ball cake pan and used it to make a Death Star cake. That’s the most exciting cake project I’ve ever completed.

Wow the best cake I ever made? I have made a few, I always make a custom birthday for my kids, whatever they want, anything! I guess the best I’ve ever made was a Scooby Doo cake, I put dyed brown coconut around the edge and it turned out amazing, it looked identical to Scooby!

I made one of the Barbie/Princess cakes (with the cake baked into a ball gown shape). It was nowhere near perfect but my daughter loved it!
