Remington F-4790 Review

F-4790 shaver

My wife asked me if I would be interested in reviewing the Remington F-4790 electric shaver, featuring pivot and flex foil technology. In the past, I have tried a few different electric shavers, but none compared to my good old razor. I have been unsuccessful in finding one that gets the closeness of a shave that my razor provides.   But since I am all for trying new things,  I agreed to review the Remington F-4790, which was sent to us by Remington to review.  When I finally got my hands on the shaver, it went straight to the charger for 24 hours. The next day, it was time to try it out. After a run around my face, I saw bumps from where the shaver shaved and was not impressed with the closeness of the shave. I continued to use the product with the same results.

**Just a reminder: I am a man. **

I told my wife of my discontent. She asked if I read the instruction manual. I did not because I have this thing about reading instruction manuals. I am more of a hands on type of person, but I gave in and read it.  All I can say is WOW……………….. So after following the directions for the correct way to use the shaver, I am a big fan of this model. Then, I began to think that all the shavers I have used in the past I had the same issues. I have concluded that this is not the case. After comparing to another electric shaver I had, I am convinced that the pivot and flex technology really sets this product apart from others I have tried.

It’s contoured body allows for the perfect grip in your hands with a conveniently located power button that’s nice and big. The pivot head customizes to my face perfectly. The battery life has been amazing.  This model also features a 3 position pop-up trimmer for precutting long hairs, trimming the sideburns, and trimming the stache and goatie.   After a shave with this bad boy, my face is left as smooth as a baby’s bum.  The Remington f-4790 has provided great results for my standards of shaving. I can finally give up my old razor!

The Remington F-4790 retails for $44.99.

Too funny about the reading instructions thing… You sound just like MY hubby – it has to be a guy thing!
In most cases when we have to put things together or we get new “toys” I am the one that has to read the “destructions” (as the hubster calls them) and then tell him in “real language” what to do… we make a great team. :-)
