5 Worst Things About Being Unemployed
5. You have no money.
4. You can go out, but realize that having your crappy “real” job for the past 8 years has left you with no friends.
3. You realize that you aren’t really qualified to do much of anything except what you were doing before, which is a problem because you no longer have that job.
2. You then realize your new job is actually finding a job. This is this your area of expertise, right? Job Finding? No? Crap.
1. You get to spend more time with your spouse.

well put!
I love your list! Especially Number 1 on the worst section. Now, have your spouse retire and you get him around 100% of the time! Yippie?
I completely understand these! Both DH and I are unemployed at the moment and there are a lot of good and bad.
Great list!
money is great, but sleep is priceless!
That’s too funny… Both the hubs and I don’t work, he’s retired and I’m disabled, so we spend almost ALL our time together and we pretty much don’t mind it. Occasionally we both have moods, so we give each other space, but we love it and it works out great.
LOVE that picture of you, Kate, with your friends.
I have to agree with 2.You can learn a new hobby, which was great for me, because my hobby turned into my full time job (sewing). Love it!
That is all very true. DH has been out of work for almost a year. That whole spending time with spouse? I would be ok with less of that when he gets a job.
Okay, I can SO relate to the more time with your spouse. My husband travels a lot. And, this weekend, I’ve come to realize it’s almost easier when he’s not here. Sad, huh?
