This is a quick how to on transferring Google Friends Connect to a new site/blog. It will work whether you are moving from blogger to wordpress or to a new domain all together. So here it is:
Log in to Google friendsconnect
Go to your site and find site settings, change home url and save settings
Go to Members Gadgets and get code. Put into text/html widget in your new blog
Done!
If you can’t find the site settings:
log in to friendconnect, look at the address, it will look like this:
http://www.google.com/friendconnect/admin/site/overview?id=1234567890
change overview to settings, it will look like this:
http://www.google.com/friendconnect/admin/site/settings?id=1234567890
Then you should be able to follow the directions above!
In your settings will be the code for the widget, simply cut and paste the code into a text widget box in your wp dashboard.
