Hallmark Card Review and Giveaway!

I will say that I have never been too much of a card person.  They never really spoke to me.  I am not into super sappy lovey dovey cards, because, well, I’m not super sappy or lovey dovey.  So, I distanced myself from cards, saying things like, oh, who cares if they get a card.  I have since changed my mind.  Cards don’t have to be super sappy dripping with saccharin, they can be funny.  And not nice funny, I mean really funny.

The Edge of Motherhood line from Hallmark does a superb job of conveying the message “I’m thinking about you” without seeming silly.  With topics ranging from birth to dating, you are sure to find a properly hilarious card for your situation.  Take this card, because sometimes, as Moms, we forget things, like birthdays…hallmarkThe Inside: Sorry I missed it. Also, HELLLLLLP!

Ok, want another one?hallmark1

The inside: There’ll be screaming in the background… I’ll have to hide in a closet to hear you… It’ll be awesome.

I told you they were funny!

Hallmark also has a great line of Encouragement Cards for Kids.  They are great for boosting kids confidence by mixing humor with a loving message.  Some of the cards have a sound clip that plays when the child opens the card.  I think these cards are great.  Starting at 99 cents, the sound clip cards cost $2.99, it is really an affordable way to give your child an extra reminder of love and courage.  Perfect for first days of school, good grades or just for being them!

We received a bundle of cards from Hallmark to review and I am certainly sending these on to my Mom friends that could surely use a laugh!  The encouragement cards are quickly being taken by my daughter who is absolutely in love with the “talking cards”!

Want to Win a Bundle of Cards for yourself?  We have Bundles of Edge of Motherhood and Encouragement Cards to giveaway to TWO of our MomTrend readers!

My daughter-in-law. Her 5 year old thinks she is 12 some days. Her 2 year old son is going through the terrible 2’s right now. Actually they are both being normal kids, but after a day at a high stress job she could use a little cheering up.
