For my first assignment on MomTrend, I was asked to use and review a Scarlett purse accessory from Je-Marie. Upon initial inspection of this super-silky, scarf clip I saw its obvious appeal, as a cute and inexpensive way to spruce up a purse. It consists of a metal hook that has a scarf attached to it which can be clipped to any handbag for some extra flare. I had the pleasure of testing the black-and-white, zebra-patterned scarf with a silver clip. With my natural tendency towards experimentation, I (of course) had to try this accessory on many different purses using a variety of placements. I was inclined to place the clip on the zipper-closure of the bag. Then it served a purpose in assisting with the opening and closing of the bag. On purses that are lacking a zipper, the clip looks just as nice on the strap…especially if the handbag has chunky hardware. Upon further investigation of the Scarlett, I discovered the not so obvious use for this fashion trend, it can be used to gently clean sunglasses, cell phone screens, or in my case, the extremely smudged lcd screen of my digital camera. This extra “plus” really sold me on the Scarlett! You can also buy adorable FUMI charms to add to your Scarlett for some extra sass. The Scarlett comes in a variety of fantastic patterns the “hippy-chic” fabric certainly caught my eye.
